Branding & identity

Look like the business they should choose.

Logo, colors, type and the way you sound, set down as one set of rules that everything else follows.

See what you get

One fixed price, agreed before anything is drawn.

Four reasons a look stops working

None of them are about taste. Each one costs you money before anybody speaks to you.

Nobody remembers youAn hour after seeing your business, a customer cannot describe it.
Three different companiesYour website, your sign and your socials do not look related.
A cheap look invites cheap offersPeople price you on what they see, long before you speak.
The quick logo has run outIt got you started. The next stage needs rules, not one file.
Nobody says it out loudPeople decide roughly what you are worth before they speak to you, and never mention it.
The board above the window is the first thing anyone reads about you, and it is usually the last thing anyone decides.

What carries on happening while you decide

No figures, because we do not know yours. You will recognize all three anyway.

01

The comparison already happened

Somebody put you beside a competitor, and one of you looked more established.

02

Your work is going out plain

Every bag, quote and invoice leaving today carries the old look with it.

03

Somebody is redrawing it again

The logo gets remade for each new sign, poster and post, slightly differently every time.

The four pieces of an identity

Each one is decided on its own, and you see it before it gets built out.

On a sign
On a card
As the profile picture

One drawing, then every version it needs: full, stacked, one letter, and a flat one-color cut for a sign maker.

RyeSigns and headingsCrustBags, labels, buttonsChalkBackgrounds and paperInkBody text, everywhereJamOne accent, used sparingly

The rulebook says where each one is allowed to go, so a sign, a bag and a post never argue with each other.

Heading

Bread, baked here.

Subheading

Open early, on Marlow Street.

Body

The size a menu board, a bag and a phone all agree on.

Sizes and spacing are written down beside them, so a printer never has to guess which one a headline is.

We say

Bread, baked here. Open early.

We do not say

An artisanal handcrafted bakery experience.
Baked hereEarlyPlain

The words you want to own, and the ones you have decided to stop using.

A mark that still works small.

Drawn once, then made to hold up on a sign, on a card, and inside a circle the size of a thumbnail.

What you get

One project, one price, everything in this list inside it.

One number, agreed before we startFixed for the project, never hourlyArtwork and licenses in your name

Three directions to choose fromWhere it starts

Real routes to react to, not one idea you are asked to accept.

The logo set

The main mark plus the versions for signs, screens and small spaces.

Colors and type

A palette and typefaces picked for your market, with the licenses sorted.

How you sound

Your line, your tone, and the words you want to own.

One rulebook

A single document any designer or printer can follow without calling you.

Ready-made files

Social templates, sign artwork, cards and letterheads, all set up.

A rollout order

Where the new look goes live first, and what can wait.

Everything handed over

Original artwork, licenses and source files, in your name from day one.

Four weeks, and one of them is yours

You pick the direction before anything is built out. Nothing else starts until you do.

01Week one

Learn the market

Your customers, your competitors, and what good actually looks like in your trade.

02Week two

Two or three routes

Real directions to react to. You pick one before anything gets built out.

Your approval

03Weeks three and four

Build the set

Full identity, rulebook and ready-made files, tightened with your notes on the route you chose.

04Handover

Go live

Files, licenses and an order to roll it out in, plus help while it lands.

What actually gets made

Not a mood board. Four things that exist at the end, and stay yours.

Made for the size it is read at

The mark, and its other versions

Drawn to be read on a sign, on a phone, and stamped on a paper bag.

Licensed, not borrowed

Colors and type

Picked for your market, licensed properly, and written down as rules.

Print-ready artwork

The printed set

Cards, letterheads and sign artwork, set up the way a printer wants them.

Rollout, in order

Where it lands first

Bags, labels, van, window. The order is agreed before anything is ordered.

The half nobody puts in a portfolio

Most of the work, none of the pictures, and where a new look usually comes apart.

Font licenses

Typefaces bought in your name, for web and for print, so nobody gets an invoice later.

The files a printer asks for

Vector artwork, a one-color cut and the right color space, so a sign maker never redraws it.

The handover document

Artwork, licenses, source files and the rulebook, in one place and in your name.

Three things we will not do

All three are normal in this trade. We will not do them, in writing.

Often the fix is how the logo gets used, not the logo. We say so, even though it is worth less to us.

One file is what ran out last time. You get the versions, the rules and the files that go with them.

Original files and typeface licenses go in your name. Leaving takes an email, and nothing stops working.

Questions people actually ask

Often just a tidy-up, and we will say so after the first week. Fixing how a logo gets used beats redrawing it more often than agencies admit.

Branding & Identity is $2,500, one-off: the logo directions, the rulebook, licensed colors and typefaces, the templates and the print artwork. The number is agreed in writing before anything starts.

We start with your market and your customers, then show two or three directions. You choose one, and that is the one we build out.

Everything. Original artwork, licenses, the rulebook and the templates. Nothing held back, and nothing you have to ask for twice.

The handover gives your printer and your sign maker what they need. If you would rather we did it, rolling it out across the site, the signs and the socials continues as a flat monthly job.

Charge like the best in your market.
